- 100 percent GRASS FED FINISHED TALLOW At Hearth and Homestead we only use carefully hand selected cuts of suet the protective fat around the kidneys that stores nutrients for our tallow. Then we hand process and hand render with our proprietary process to result in a clean pure tallow with only the faintest buttery aroma. Tallow is rich in vitamins A D E K and B1 as well as stearic and oleic fatty acids and saturated fat.
